(In cooperation with Knowledge Commons DC)

January 25, 2013; 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Ever wondered how to pronounce words written in Russian? And what's the deal with that backwards "R"? We'll give you a crash course on the Cyrillic alphabet, used by Russian and other Slavic languages, from its origins and history to its counterparts in the Latin alphabet. You'll learn to decipher words in Cyrillic, write your name, and switch from one alphabet to the other — no previous language experience required!

Instructors: Olga Kuzmina & Karyn Dubravetz.
