 Sustaining Russian language in a bi-, and even tri-lingual family: Mission is possible! Guest-speaker: Dr. Elena Tikhomirova (Berlin, Germany) Part 1. December 2, 5:30 p.m. (EDT) Part 2. December 3, 3:00 p.m. (EDT) Part 3. December 4, 3:00 p.m. ((EDT, on-line) Dr. Tikhomirova will present the third edition of her bestselling book "Our trilingual children”. She will share her unique experience of balancing three languages (Russian, English and German) and teaching them all in her own family. All three presentations will be conducted in Russian without translation into English. The presentation on December 2 will be followed by a workshop for the teachers in Russian schools in DC area. A book signing will follow. The presentation on December 3 will be followed by a workshop for parents of multilingual children. A book signing will follow. The on-line presentation on December 4 will be held in the format of Skype webinar and will address both the teachers’ and parents’ problems. The preliminary registration for the webinar starts on October 20, 2011 and will be closed as soon as the limit of 10 (ten) participants is exceeded. The strong preference will be given to the organized groups of teachers and/or parents. Please, send your application letters to: russkiymir.wdc@gmail.com.
