 Come and just enjoy this lezginka* dancing workshop as a happy group activity! Beginners are welcome and are strongly encouraged to attend! Time and place:
1828 L Street, NW, Suite 1200 (12th Floor) Washington, DC, 20036. It doesn't matter at all whether you can dance or not. Whether you are a temperamental highlander or a wistful plainsman, a man or a woman. There will be a role reserved for everyone! Led by: Mounes Habj-Bik and Zalina Kardanova (New York) Attendance is free** and is open for general public. Light refreshments will be served. __________________________________________________________________________ * Lezginka, or Lezghinka is a national dance of many peoples in the Caucasus.
** This is true - we are not going to charge you for your attendance. But given the fact that the presenters/coaches are the newlyweds, and that it is a part of the authentic tradition in Caucasus to pass a hat around during the wedding for donations, please get prepared to put something of value for this nice young couple.
